Unfortunately, there is no preventative MX available on these pumps at this time. Only replace the pump if and when the pump ceases to function. I purchased a variety of tip sizes and discovered that the 311 produced a fine enough spray that I was able to spray from a variety of angles and directions without putting on too much paint that it would bleed through the fabric. The end product was excellent coverage, even in the nooks and crannies of the hand-textured stucco walls. Because I work as a sprayer, I was really happy with the unit’s ease of use and functionality. It was considerably less difficult to clean up than I had anticipated.
I have no regrets about this purchase. For automotive coatings, we do not suggest the use of airless sprayers. Because of the increased transmission efficiency of HVLP, we would recommend it.
